The name’s matt andrews.
At the moment I live in Canberra, Australia… punctuated with far-too-infrequent soujourns to my other home in New Ireland, Papua New Guinea.
I’m a web developer by profession, these days, doing stuff across the spectrum between graphic design and hardcore coding. I’ve recently finished a stint of several years as Technical Lead for one of Europe’s main internet dating networks, and I’m currently doing things for the Australian Government.
In previous incarnations I’ve somehow found myself playing several other roles, of which a sampling includes cinematographer, environmental campaigner, parliamentary lobbyist, and courier of secret ministerial documents. Yes, with the whole handcuffed-to-the-briefcase routine.

Is there a possibility that the Governement is “not getting it” with what is out in the real world of web or is it just run by a group of people who are slow on the uptake?
I Understand people are not aware of the trends of today, but with that there is standards that are meant to be followed with the Government. Why is it that they are not even coming close to what they are suppose to be delivering?
